Effective: May 2026. Circly is a sisterhood. These guidelines exist to keep it warm, safe, and real. They apply to your profile, photos, chats, plans, vibes, voice notes , every part of the app.
1. Real women, real friendships
Circly is for women aged 18 and over only. Use a real, recent photo of you where your face is clearly visible. No heavy filters that disguise your face, no group photos as your main picture, no AI-generated avatars, no images of celebrities or other people. This is a platonic space , romantic or sexual advances, propositions, or content are not allowed.
2. Kindness wins
Disagreement is fine, disrespect is not. No insults, threats, harassment, racism, transphobia, homophobia, body-shaming, ableism, or hate speech of any kind. Treat every woman the way you'd want a friend to treat you.
3. Safety first
Never share sensitive personal information (home address, financial info, government IDs) early on. Always meet new friends in public places and tell someone where you're going. Report anything that feels off , every report is reviewed by a real person, usually within 24 hours.
4. Nothing illegal, nothing harmful
No content involving minors. No nudity or sexual content. No violence, weapons, gore, drugs, or self-harm content. No promotion of eating disorders. No fraud, scams, or phishing. Behaviour that breaks the law will be reported to authorities.
5. No business, please
Circly isn't for promoting products, MLMs, services, OnlyFans, paid groups, political campaigns, or recruitment funnels. Build friendships, not customer lists. Influencer collaborations and casting calls also belong elsewhere.
6. Authentic profiles only
One account per person. No catfishing, no fake names, no impersonation. Don't recycle profile photos from someone else's social media. We may ask for a quick selfie video to confirm identity.
7. Respect chats and plans
Don't screenshot or share other women's private chats, photos, or voice notes outside the app without their consent. Show up if you RSVP yes to a plan , repeatedly no-showing or cancelling last minute may limit your access to events.
8. Voice, video, and photos
Voice notes, video clips, and photos must follow all the rules above. Consent matters , don't record or share content of someone who didn't agree.
9. Reporting
Tap the three-dot menu on any profile, chat, or message to report it. Block anyone who makes you uncomfortable , blocking hides you both from each other completely.
10. Consequences
Breaking these rules can lead to a warning, content removal, temporary suspension, or a permanent ban depending on severity. Serious or repeated violations are an immediate ban with no appeal.
